The good looking eRecords Player does a lot of things. The application is a media player, which means you can use it to play your music tracks and video files as well as play audio CDs and play DVDs. There is a lot more the application does on top of that: it can broadcast media, it can acquire media from audio CDs, portable players and other sources, it can burn your library onto a disc, it can record audio, and, if you have a TV tuner, it lets you watch and record TV.

Downloading a 6.9MB archive is the first step you must take should you decide to give eRecords Player a try. There’s an executable in the arcive; run it and eRecords Player will automatically be installed on your system. You will not have any problems installing the media player on a machine powered by Windows 7, Windows Vista, or Windows XP.

The first time you run eRecords Player, you will be presented with a Welcome screen that’s meant to help you quickly get started with the media player. The Welcome screen tells you how to add media to your library and how you can broadcast your media to others.

The eRecords Player interface is quite easy to figure out. The buttons for all the functionality it has to offer are at the top. The black window to the left is the “Now Playing” window; when you play a video, it is displayed there. You can expand the window and you can switch to full screen. The playback and volume buttons are at the bottom. The two windows to the right display more info about the files in your library.

Speaking about the library, it must be mentioned that you can add MP3, WMA, MOV, AVI, MPEG and various other file formats to the library. Double click an item in the library and eRecords Player will start playing; once it’s done with this item, it will move on to the next one. If you don’t want it to do that, you can hit the Repeat button and eRecords Player will play that item again and again.

eRecords Player is freeware, meaning it will not cost you anything to use the application. Cons:
None that I could think of.

Pros

The Welcome screen helps you quickly get started with eRecords Player. The media player’s interface is good looking and easy to figure out. You can play a variety of multimedia formats, broadcast media, rip audio CDs, record audio, view and record TV, burn libraries. eRecords Player is freeware.

Cons

ider making a donation if you like what eRecords Player can do and if you want to support the application’s development. eRecords Player hides a lot of functionality under a good looking interface: it is a properly good media player that you can use to listen to music, play videos, share your media with others, burn data, record audio, watch and record TV. All this functionality is offered for free.
